Any given culture shares a set of beliefs and values which can be influenced by traditions, art, language, and religion. Culture is a major indicator of how people view themselves and the world around them. Not only that but it influences people’s values, beliefs, and overall worldview. That is why it is so important for Christians to impact the culture as the salt of the earth (Mt. 5:13-14). The point is not to coerce or manufacture change through force. Instead, believers should reflect the love of Jesus Christ in cogent and compelling ways that makes a lasting impression upon people which will subsequently have an impact on culture. When believers give space to the Holy Spirit to help them spread the gospel through love and fidelity to moral living they will have no small impact on the culture. When successful this endeavor will bring great glory to the one true God.
